In 1993, the Australian Defence Force commissioned a comprehensive study comparing 19 fully approved aviation cleaning products on the corrosion rates of aluminium alloys used in military aircraft. Zi-400 stood alone — not just as a corrosion inhibitor, but as the only product capable of arresting active corrosion.
In 2016, Solidus Industries commissioned Deakin University to independently replicate this research, testing Zi-400 against the world's most widely used aviation cleaner. The results confirmed Zi-400's unmatched corrosion protection properties. The ADF has used Zi-400 as its standard cleaning product ever since.
Will not remove grease from bearings
Zi-400's colloidal chemistry is selective — it deep-cleans surface grime without stripping lubrication from bearings, bushes, or rod ends. No re-greasing required post-wash.
